This Week's News-May 9-13

Our year is winding down, but we still have a lot of things to learn.

The DIBELS assessment is on Wednesday. Please take advantage of the next 2 days and practice reading at home.  Practice reading a passage or page for one minute. Time the same passage several times to try to beat the time before. The goal is 87 words in one minute.

*Don’t forget to mark the reading calendar each day*

We have been learning about immigration and the constitution. We wrote a report on our national anthem. Next, we will be learning about Americans who fought for a cause. Some of the people we will learn about are Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, and Jackie Robinson.

We started Chapter 10 in math. We will be learning about data and graphing. We will move through it quickly and hope to take the test on Thursday.
