It is that time of the year when we have ten spelling words each week. We will no longer have challenge words or a word family.
We have been having some fun with our new chapter in math. We are learning to measure using nonstandard units. We have been measuring with tiles and paper clips. We will be learning about time later in the week.
We are excited to go to the Playmakers version of Honk at the Randall Theater on Friday. It is a musical based on the story "The Ugly Duckling." It should be a lot of fun.
We will be learning about plants this week. We will be planting bean seeds and watching them grow. We will also learn what plants need to grow.
Mark your calendars - The first grade end of year program is scheduled for May 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. You won't want to miss it!
