This week in spelling we will focus on the vowel digraphs ai and ay. We will review long a words with silent e.

Please remember to turn in the reading calendar for December. The school will have a reading celebration in May. One of the ways a student will earn his way to the celebration is by returning the reading calendars consistently.
We will have our place value test on Tuesday. We will then begin our unit on money. It is very helpful to practice money at home. If you get a chance, pull the change from your pocket and have your student count it. Math homework will come home on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, we will walk to the Heritage Center to see a piano quartet. It should be a lot of fun. Please make sure your student has a jacket and walking shoes.
We will continue learning about weather this week.
We have earned a party for 100% attendance. We will vote on the kind of party we will have today and I will send home a note to let parents know which day. I will also update this blog.
