I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday. It's time to get down to business in first grade. We will be doing the DIBELS test the second week of January. It will help your student if you are reading at least 20 minutes each night.

We will continue with Chapter 5 in math.
Make sure you return the December reading calendar and keep recording those minutes for January. When your student returns the December and January reading calendars they will receive two SUU basketball or gymnastics tickets as well as a hot dog and a drink. More information will follow on how to request basketball or gymnastics. If you have a hard time keeping track of your reading calendar, fold it in half and keep it in the same bag as your book in the bag.
